EU Organic Dairy PH

EU Organic Dairy PH final launch shows how local dishes can be made better with organic European dairy

More Filipinos are set to experience the natural goodness of organic European dairy as the EU Organic Dairy PH campaign enters its final year. The recent launch event, held at the Garden Pavilion, Grand Hyatt Hotel in Bonifacio Global City, spotlighted why organic European Dairy is the naturally good choice for Filipinos.

Host Cerah Hernandez Co welcomed everybody and gave a quick recap of the campaign. A short video followed, featuring organic European farmer Torben Sonderby whose daily work is rooted in prioritizing animal welfare and treating cows with utmost care to produce the highest quality organic European dairy.

The three Cs: care for the body, animal, and the planet

Tom Alonzo, campaign representative and Digital Marketing Manager of Arla Philippines, opened the program and discussed the campaign and what makes organic European dairy naturally good.

“From high reach digital campaigns to seasonal events, as well as in store tastings in select supermarket and groceries, the EU Organic Dairy PH campaign has become meaningful. Why? Because of our key message, which revolves around this question: ‘What does organic really mean?’”

When we think “organic,” the word “natural” comes to mind. But as campaign representative Tom Alonzo explained, organic European dairy goes beyond natural—it’s about care, science, and sustainability working together.

“So, why choose organic European dairy?” Tom asked. Referencing the film, he said, “First, Europe, specifically Denmark, is a frontrunner in organic dairy production. The organic green logo on our products is certification that proves they have complied with the European Union’s strict rules. This is what makes European dairy organic and why it’s naturally good for your body.”

He pointed out that organic European dairy is good because it promotes animal welfare. Cows are not given hormones to accelerate growth or antibiotics to make them milk faster.

Finally, organic European dairy is good for the planet. How? “The feeds given to cows are produced naturally on the farm without synthetic fertilizers and pesticides. This creates cleaner soil and water and a more sustainable ecosystem,” Tom said.

“When you choose for organic European dairy, it means you’re caring for yourself, the animals, and the planet. So, look for that logo, and add organic European dairy to your cart,” Tom concluded.

Before proceeding to the next speaker, a short video featuring Merete Myrup, Director of Nutrition of the Danish Dairy Board (DDB), explained why they’re important not just for growing kids but for adults as well.

Fuel your active lifestyle and elevate everyday dishes with organic European dairy

The next set of speakers gave an insightful discussion on the practical applications of organic European dairy.

Jeaneth Aro, an Olympic and elite performance nutrition coach, highlighted that organic milk can be taken as a sports recovery drink and a hydration beverage, providing energy to the body and supporting muscle recovery after a strenuous workout.

Jo Sebastian, registered nutritionist-dietitian, focused on the versatility of organic European dairy and shared how it is a part of a balanced diet countries. She said parents who want to win over picky eaters can try exploring organic European dairy to add texture and creaminess to their meals.

She recommended exploring fun shapes like stars and smiling faces. Try colorful pairings like pancake and ube or colorful fruits. And lastly, she advised kids to be involved in cooking and meal preps so they would be more encouraged to eat their food.

A new twist to Filipino comfort food

Finally, celebrity chefs Roland “Chef Lau” Laudico and Jac Laudico held a live cooking demo to show how Filipino dishes such as chicken pastel, mashed kamote (sweet potato), Ilocano poqui-poqui (eggplant and scrambled eggs), pandeninis (pandesal and panini) and beef caldereta can be elevated with organic European cream cheese.

Another video was presented while everyone enjoyed chef Lau and Jac’s culinary creations. It highlighted the work of Ejvind Pedersen, Organic Manager at the Danish Agriculture and Food Council, and Denmark’s role in leading organic dairy production and how its rigorous standards to inspection and food systems have made organic dairy a trusted product worldwide.

The journey continues: Bringing naturally good choices nationwide

The final part of the program featured a Q&A session with the invited speakers. One of the most important questions Cerah raised was how the final year of the campaign will impact Filipinos. Chef Lau and Jac believe that learning about organic European dairy is a significant step in taking care of the body, animals, and the environment.

Since the campaign will now be on a more nationwide scale, Jo is excited to see how the final year will benefit more people through taste samplings and how it will be translated into regional cuisine. For Jeaneth, having verifiable information and access to organic European dairy will make it easier for the public to understand the idea of whole foods nutrition and teach them the importance of having something naturally good.

Organic European dairy brims with care for families, animals, and the planet. With countless ways to enjoy it, it’s time to make a naturally good choice. So, look for that EU organic logo and choose organic European dairy.
