Champorado

When the days get cooler, there’s nothing like sharing a warm bowl of champorado with the family. Made creamier and richer with organic European Dairy from Denmark, where deep chocolate meets wholesome organic milk.

Gather it

  • pot
  • measuring cups
  • wooden spoon

Get it ready

  • 5 cups water 
  • 1 cup glutinous rice
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 4-6 pieces Tablea (Filipino cacao tablets)

Make it 

  1. In a pot, bring 5 cups water to boil.
  2. Add 1 cup glutinous rice. Stir occasionally and cook until grains are soft and sticky, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Drop in 4-6 pieces tablea. Stir until fully dissolved and the porridge turns rich and chocolatey.
  4. Add ½ cup sugar (adjust to taste). Let it simmer until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
  5. Turn off the heat. Slowly stir in ½ to 1 cup Organic European Dairy for a creamy finish.
